For the Manlius Fire Station, Napierala Consulting played a key role in site selection and planning. Working closely with the architectural team and fire station committee, we provided crucial presentations for the referendum process. Our responsibilities also included conducting a regional stormwater study to protect a nearby watercourse and delivering complete site design and construction services. The project ensured the new fire station met the community’s needs while adhering to environmental and regulatory requirements.
Napierala Consulting collaborated with the Village, project architect, and construction management team to redevelop the historical Fayetteville Fire Station while preserving the attached Village offices. We handled site design, permitting, and construction oversight. The project required approvals from the local planning board, NYS Department of Transportation, and historical and landscaping boards. Our involvement ensured the seamless integration of modern functionality within a historically sensitive site.
Napierala Consulting contributed to three distinct phases of the NYS Linesman Safety Training Facility. For the new Training Center, we conducted stormwater analysis, drainage design, and SWPPP inspections. The second phase included a 15,000-square-foot office building, for which we provided detailed site plans, permitting, and construction services. The third phase involved a 11,200-square-foot warehouse and expanded training yard, requiring environmental investigations for endangered species. Construction began in fall 2021.
For the Schonowe Fire Company, Napierala Consulting worked closely with the Rotterdam Fire District, project architect, and construction management team. We developed schematic plans and assisted with public forums leading up to the referendum. Our services included sewer connection plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and securing all necessary permits. During construction, we provided oversight to ensure a smooth and successful project completion, delivering a fully functional fire station for the community.

Our work included a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), SEQRA determination, and public forum participation during the conceptual phase. The design phase covered site plans, water extension plans, stormwater and septic design, as well as securing all necessary permits and approvals. Following the destruction of the Keene Fire House by Tropical Storm Irene in 2011, Napierala Consulting played a key role in rebuilding efforts. Partnering with Hueber Breuer Construction, we assisted the fire commissioners and town members in selecting a new site and provided comprehensive site design, permitting, and construction oversight. Our team worked closely with local, state, and federal officials to secure funding and Right to Build permits, ensuring the new station would serve the region’s needs for years to come.
Napierala Consulting led the site design, permitting, and construction oversight for the rehabilitation of Jonesville Fire Station #2. This project involved developing a site with jurisdictional wetlands and addressing 100-year floodplain concerns. Our team secured Right to Build permits from the Town of Clifton Park Planning Board, NYS Department of Transportation, and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for the successful completion of this critical rehabilitation project.
Our design team worked in concert with the construction management team to provide site design, permitting and construction oversight. This project included the development of a 5-acre hillside site off of a State Highway. Permitting included local planning board approval, water line extension from a county water authority, subsurface sanitary sewer discharge permit from the County Health Department, a stormwater permit from the State Department of Environmental Conservation and a highway improvement permit from the New York State Department of Transportation.
Our design team worked in concert with the construction management team to provide site design, permitting and construction oversight for this fire station project in the town of Glenville, NY. This project included the restoration of the existing fire station and the construction of a new fire bay facility to serve the district.
